Awards are competitive, and applying does not guarantee an award. For all awards, we will notify you of your application status via email once decisions are made.

Here are answers to common questions.

  • How often are scholarships awarded?

    LoveTrades and Alery Scholarships are awarded 4 times a year. The Brad Williams Scholarship is awarded once per year.


    The total number of scholarships awarded per term varies based on available funds.

  • Application Dates

    Applications are accepted on a rolling basis so there is no need to apply more than once.


    Closing dates for applications, then awarded dates – February, May, August, and November.

  • How are scholarship funds distributed?

    Funds will be awarded to the school finance department.  All funds must first go towards tuition, if that is paid in full, funds will be applied to housing. Remaining funds can then used for living expenses.

  • How can I apply for a scholarship?

    All applications must be submitted via the online form.

    How to Make a Good  Video Intro

    • Engage Your Audience: Share personal interests or hobbies that humanize you and create a relatable image.
    • Tell a Story: Incorporate a brief anecdote related to your introduction. Stories stick with people!
    • Be Concise: Aim for brevity. A shorter introduction retains viewer interest and allows for more content.
    • State Your Purpose: Clearly outline why a scholarship from LoveTrades is important to you, your career goals etc.

    Here are a few things that are a must:


    1- BE YOURSELF. Tidy up a bit. Make a good impression.


    2- SMILE. this is important for obvious reasons, but try to look happy and cheerful in your video. 


    3- NICE BACKGROUND/QUIET AREA. Be aware of what will show in the background as well as noise levels.


    4- HAVE GOOD LIGHTING, it doesn't have to be a professional level lighting, just something that shows allows folks to see you.
